The Federal Bar Association SDNY Chapter and EDNY Chapter participated in the Federal Bar Association Capitol Hill Day event on April 25, 2022. We held meetings with Arjun Ghosh, Legislative Aide to Kirsten Gillibrand, US Senator (NY) and Sam Schiller, Legislative Correspondent to Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY-12). We reviewed the FBA 2022 Legislative Priorities, including greater security for our federal judges and courthouses, additional judgeships for our federal courts, and establishing a specialized and independent Article I Immigration Court to serve as the principal adjudicatory forum under Title II of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
